configure static ip in fedora with networkmanager via command line

Today i was trying to set static ip to my fedora 14 host via NetworkManager. I learnt that networkmanager also uses the same file /etc/sysconfig/network-script/ifcfg-eth1

So to make it static ip i modifed the ifcfg-eth1 like below and viola just after updating the file , the effect is immediate.
contents of ifcfg-eth1

DEVICE="eth1"
NM_CONTROLLED="yes"
TYPE=Ethernet
BOOTPROTO=none
IPADDR=192.168.2.5
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
GATEWAY=192.168.2.1
DEFROUTE=yes
IPV4_FAILURE_FATAL=yes
IPV6INIT=no
ONBOOT=yes
HWADDR=08:00:27:C1:9D:5E
PEERDNS=YES
DNS1=192.168.2.1
